WHAT WE OFFER

Black E.S.T.E.E.M. builds on the notion that community-based learning spaces can provide Black girls with rich and culturally relevant STEM experiences. We offer Black girls STEM training, empowerment, and mentorship opportunities. These experiences center around Black women’s past and current contributions to STEM, as well as encourage Black girls to draw on their scientific skills to construct Black futures. Our hands-on programs are designed to inspire Black girls to think and act like scientists and entrepreneurs. All learning is anchored within the cultural contexts of Black girls’ lives, creativity, and imagination.
